Duff Green Mansion

The Duff Green Mansion is located in Vicksburg,Mississippi. Vicksburg is one of the largest locations of the Civil War.

The Duff Green is considered to be one of the finest examples of Palladian Architecture in the state,it escaped destruction during and after the Civil Wars siege by serving as a hospital for confederate and union soldiers. The original family was forced to live in a cave on the property during this time. The lady of the house even gave birth to her child in the cave.
